Benjamin Brown
Director
Born in Miami-Dade County, Ben grew up as a military child. After living all over the world, from Japan to Germany he eventually made South Florida his home. Ben went on to become a professional golfer and a member of the PGA of America, where he built his career teaching some of the top players in the world. He later founded Cure Putter Company.
For more than 20 years, Palm Beach County has been home for Ben and now his family. After stepping away from his professional career, he chose to devote more time to his wife and two sons while enjoying the community and outdoors that he’s always held a deep love for.
That changed in 2023 with the threat of his son’s favorite fishing spot getting developed.
Ben has grown to become one of the top advocates against reckless development in Palm Beach County. He’s helped stop destructive projects such as the NHRA Racetack at 20 Mile Bend and Project Tango. His dedication to our area is unmatched. His voice is effective and his passion speaks even louder.
“When my oldest son became deeply concerned about the proposed NHRA racetrack near one of our favorite fishing spots at 20 Mile Bend, I made him and his brother a promise: I would do everything I could to protect our community and the places we love from reckless development.
What began as a promise to my sons grew into something much larger.
As I became more involved, I witnessed firsthand what I believe was a troubling disregard for residents and the long-term interests of Palm Beach County, while developers and special interests appeared to receive far too much consideration.
I realized I could no longer stand on the sidelines.
When Project Tango was proposed a mere 1,200 feet from my community and our children’s school, the fight became personal. Our families deserve responsible growth, transparency, accountability, and leaders who put residents before developers and special interests.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a father, husband, former professional golfer, business owner, and longtime Palm Beach County resident who chose to get involved because I believe our community is worth fighting for.
I made a promise to my sons—and I’m keeping it.”
